These new parts are designed to accommodate earlier model e46 BMW with extruded(e) or “bumpy” tower design. They will even up the mating surface for any flat DMG / other flat surface mounting braces, reinforcing plates etc.
They apply to 99-01 models, equipped with the nicknamed “bumpy” tower. They are contoured surface leveling mating plates and are 100% CNC nitro- laser cut T-6 aluminum. The thickness of construction provides the perfect amount of contact and clamping force with minimum height gained, so your studs won’t come up too short. If the brace and studs fit without the plate, they’ll fit with the plate, it simply fills in the gaps to provide optimum protection while reducing friction.
This is the ideal for any DMG p46 front brace but does not discriminate and can be used for any other brand with a similar/ common flat mating surface and of course, the bumpy towers.. Note; the outer contour of this part does actually match the DMG p46 contour, however, it can be trimmed quite easily if hangs out wider than the contour of whatever brand of brace you apply it under, if you would rather.
These will only be offered in plain & bare aluminum finish, not anodized and never in powder coat, as I don’t want thickness or durability effected. However, be advised also that when these are installed, they’re virtually invisible anyway.
This item is “on the shelf” and ready to go, usually ships same or next day, rather than our other build to order items which have an extended & variable turnaround time from purchase to ship. However, if they are purchased with a brace order, they will ship out with the brace not separate or before. If yould like them separate or before contact me and we will set you up.
